Welcome to my website Kingcrafts.

My name is Joan and I was born in England in 1952 moving to New Zealand in 1973. My husband Denis and I live on a lifestyle block on the northern end of Lake Rotorua (known for its trout fishing) in the middle of the North Island with our cat Renee. My hobbies are swimming on a regular basis and walking.

I have been involved in a variety of hand crafts over the years and have been designing cross stitch and blackwork since 2001 and this design work comes under the name Tarart Designs on my website. My passion these days though has changed more towards card making with a difference. I enjoy creating boxed cards for the discerning using the Keepsake Embossing boards. This is a new form of embossing unlike the older style when using a lightbox etc. I sell a range of different Keepsake Embossing boards on my website. I also sell a range of cards on here which have been made with the boards under the heading Elegant Cards for the Discerning. These can also be made to order with your own sentiments etc inside. If you have a craft group that would like to have demonstrations of the Keepsake Embossing Boards do let me know and I will see what I can do for you all.

Another of my passions is encaustic wax art and this is shown under the heading Encaustic Wax Art Gallery.

My husband is also interested in the Arts and Crafts area and is a landscape artist in his own right with his own website www.denisking.com.
